Iranian film ‘Cold Breath’ to compete at RIFF 2017

Iranian film ‘Cold Breath’ is to vie at the Ridgefield Independent Film Festival in the US.

Directed and produced by Abbas Raziji, the film is to be screened at the competition section of the festival alongside 90 other films from across the world.

The movie narrates the story of Maryam who is passed thirty and the hardship she faces everyday.

Being Iran’s only feature film representative, the ‘Cold Breath’ stars Bita Baderan, Majid Mozaffari, Parichehr Riali, Hamideh Barati and Ezzatollah Ramezanifar.

The cast and crew of the film are not attending the festival due to Trump’s controversial travel ban of citizens of seven predominantly Muslim nations, including Iran.

The mission of RIFF is to make the world a more compassionate place through the sharing of stories from around the globe in cinema, and to help the hardworking filmmakers who share this vision.
